Internet Explorer Not Responding
- Windows Update has not installed latest IE updates.
- Add-ons may be interfering with Internet Explorer.
- File in local temporary cache corrupted.
- Running Windows Update can often correct problems by replacing out-of-date files, updating drivers and fixing vulnerabilities.
- Open the Windows Update applet from the Control Panel or by entering Windows Update in the Search Bar in the start button.
- Check if any important or optional updates are available. if they are, then click on Install Update.
- If after Installing Windows Update the problem is not fixed go to Step 2.
- Tap or click the Tools button and then tap or click Manage add-ons.
- Under Show, tap or click All Add-ons and then disable all of them by tapping or clicking each one and then selecting Disable.
- Restart Internet Explorer and test.
- If you can successfully access the internet then the issue is with an installed add-on. Re-enable each add-on one at a time and test to verify what add-on is causing the issue.
- If you cannot connect then go to Step 3.
- Open Internet Explorer Tool Menu and under it select Internet Options.
- Under Browsing history, click Delete.
- Select Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History.
- Do not select Form data, or Favorite Website Data, or Passwords.
- Click Delete.
- Try Connecting to the Internet. If you cannot connect, then you need help from a certified technician.
